_____ On THE EX-CPA'S SON: At its core, the idea behind "The Ex-CPA's Son" was to use a very closed voice to present some big conceptsthe natural and the technological, the real and the idyllicyou know the drill. The portion of the writing process I found most enjoyable was using a voice so removed from its own motivations and internal dialog to present these glacially proportioned issues (which the voice understands no better than it does itself). The design aspect of the piece is intended to reinforce the juxtaposed concepts at play in the written work. |
