How to Fasten the Shoe on the Brace. Screw or brad the shoe piece N to the sole of the shoe just in front of the shoe heel, so that the ankle joint of the brace C will come exactly opposite the child's ankle joint. Fasten the shoe on the brace with three small screws or brads D, E, F, and see that the sharp ends are well bradded inside of the shoe, should they come through the shoe sole. Now split the shoe in front clear down to the toe and put eyelets M on each side so as to lace from the toe up. This done the brace is ready to apply. See figure 2. |
