SOME TECHNIQUES EXECUTED WITH THE PR-24 POLICE BATON

Power is a function of speed: Spinning techniques, which are described in Chapter IV, are most effective when accomplished with great speed. The speed which can be generated at the long extended end when spinning the PR-24 baton gives it a shocking power much greater than that of the conventional police baton. Shocking power is the amount of kinetic energy an impacting object transfers to its target, and, according to medical authorities, the severity of a blow is determined by the amount of actual or kinetic energy of the object.
