Consider first the particular sense of go that is diagremmaed in Figure 4(a). This is a relational rather than a nominal predication, i.e. it profiles the "interconnections" among conceived entities; these interconnections are indicated in Figure 4 by the heavy dashed lines. The relevant domains are space and time. With the passage of time, one individual, referred to here as the "trajector" (tr), moves from a position within the neighborhood of another individual, the "landmark" (lm), to a final position outside the neighborhood. Only four states of the process are shown explicitly, but they represent a continuous series.
