Heather McHugh's most recent books include Hinge & Sign: Poems 1968-1993 (finalist for the 1994 National Book Award) and a collection of essays, Broken English: Poetry and Partiality, both published by Wesleyan University Press. She is Milliman Writer-in-Residence at the University of Washington in Seattle and a core faculty member of the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.
