Jude Nutter is from North Yorkshire, England, and has been living in the states
for 13 years. She holds an MS in Women's Studies from Mankato State, Minnesota, and an FMA from the University of Oregon, Eugene. Her work has appeared in several journals and anthologies including: Indiana Review, Green Fuse, Weber Studies, Alaska Quarterly Review, Appalachia, , Mankato Review , Negative Capability Northwest Review, Coracle, Stand (UK), Poets On, Journal of the American Medical Association, Permafrost Snowy Egret, WordWRights, Wilderness, The 1996 Yearbook of Magazine Verse (Monitor Press), W ild Song (Georgia Press), and on-line with HMS Beagle, a web site dedicated to science, medicine, and poetry.
She was the 1997 recipient of the Miram McFall Stalin Award (Oregon), and her poem "The Paramedics" received the 1998 Wendy Norins Writing Award. Poems published during 1998 have been nominated for inclusion in The 1999 Pushcart Prize.
She currently lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she is studying to be a
paramedic.
