Ruth L. Schwartz
Ruth L. Schwartz has received grants from the NEA and Astraea Foundation, as well as numerous literary prizes. Her first book, Accordion Breathing and Dancing, won the AWP award and was published by the University of Pittsburgh Press in 1996. She lives in Oakland, CA, where she lives with her partner, Gladys, and their many pets, and makes her living as a resume writer.
