"THE ART OF FICTION I"   (Short Fiction Craft: LIMIT SEVEN STUDENTS)
  Cost: $475.00 Dates: 1/08 - 3/18/07 (10 Sessions Online)

FACULTY: FICTION EDITORS KALEY NOONAN AND WALTER CUMMINS (bios)

AF I is a model-and-context fiction workshop, i.e., students create a work-in-progress in the context of the lesson environment while applying specific craft techniques and structure learned from a wide variety of accomplished short story writers. The goal of the workshop is to teach students to write the best fiction possible, the kind of work all fiction editors are searching for. Since the best teachers of short story craft are those relatively few and brilliant writers who have invented it, weekly lessons will explore the ways in which these writers have created a legacy of vigorous and enduring short fiction. Through a developmental series of lectures, discussions, readings, and writing assignments, students will learn this same craft and apply it. For more info, drop us an email or call our home office at 1-800-250-8290.

Please APPLY below. Registration payment due following acceptance.
