Daniel
Nester grew up in Southern New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University's
Camden campus. He has an MFA from New York University's creative writing
program. As a contributing editor of Painted Bride Quarterly, he was the project manager of the PBQ Online Archive Project. For three years he was the editor in chief of La Petite Zine. Currently, he is editor of the online journal Unpleasant Event Schedule. In 2003, Soft Skull Press published God Save My Queen, a song-by-song, album-by-album collection of creative nonfiction and prose poetry that documents his lifelong obsession with the rock band Queen. His poems have appeared in such places as Verse, Open City, Nerve, Slope, and The Best American Poetry 2003. He lives and teaches in Brooklyn, NY, and curates the reading series Karaoke + Poetry = Fun. |
